Comments and
Suggestions
If you would like to make general comments or suggestions about
our web site you can send us e-mail. Our goal is to make this
web site as
complete and accurate as possible and we especially appreciate comments regarding
incorrect or missing information. When making comments pertaining to material in the
Species Library, please be as specific as possible. Whenever possible, mention accurate
Family Names and/or Species Names and when making comments about photographs in the
library, please mention the species name and the photograph's ID number that always
appears with the photograph.
Article Submission
To submit an article you must be the original author.
To submit an article please send us an e-mail
with a copy of, or link to, the article. Submitted articles remain copyrighted by the author and
we will publish articles according to the author's guidelines. We
reserve the right to select which articles we publish.
Photograph Submission
If you are an underwater photographer or have some great photographs
of the animals in your tank we hope that you will consider sharing your photographs with
your fellow hobbyist. By submitting your photographs to the library you will
be helping to educate and entertain people who share your passion as well as enjoying some
personal exposure for your work.
We know that you, the original photographer, often went through great
pains and effort to get that 'spectacular shot' and deserve all of the credit and
recognition possible. All photographs submitted to the library remain copyrighted by
the original photographer. Before submitting photographs to the library we encourage you to
put an unobtrusive, but legible, copyright notice in them. And at your request we
can do this for you.
To submit a photograph to the library, please answer the following
questions and send us an e-mail
with the photograph as an attached file. Please answer the questions as completely
and accurately as possible.
What is your name?
Are you the original photographer?
Would you like us to list an e-mail address
so people may contact you?
If so, what is it?
Do you have a web site that you would like
us to list?
If so, what is it?
What is the species name?
What family is the species in?
Where was the photograph taken?
What date was it taken?
At what water depth?
What equipment was used (camera, film, strobe)?
Do you have any comments that you would like to include with the
photograph?
Would you like us to put a copyright notice on your photograph?
We do ask that all photographs submitted be as high quality as
possible.
We reserve the right to select which
photographs are included in the library and to remove photographs from the library as
we see fit.
Photographer Credits
The photographs in the Species Library have
been collected from a variety of sources, including the Internet. All photographs are
either, being used with permission, or to the best of our knowledge are in the public
domain. We have tried to give photographers credit whenever possible, unfortunately this
information has not always been available. If you are the original photographer of a
photograph in this library and you have not been given credit, please
e-mail us and we will
give you the recognition you deserve. You may want to read the Photograph Submission section above
and resubmit your photograph. This helps us to verify that you are the original
photographer and allows you to put a copyright notice in your photograph. When
submitting a photograph that already exists in the library, please let us a know that you
are the original photographer of a photograph that is already in the library and that you
would like it replaced with a new photograph. Whenever mentioning a photograph in
the library please mention the species name and the photograph's ID number that always
appears with the photograph.
Photograph Removal
If you are the original photographer of a photograph in the library
and you would like to have it removed from the library, first of all we hope you'll
reconsider having your photograph removed. Your photograph helps to educate and
entertain many, many hobbyists. If we have included your photograph in error and
without your permission, we apologize. It is not our intention to use copyrighted
material without the owners permission. If you sincerely want your photograph
removed please e-mail us and we
will promptly remove it.
